The encapsulations are made from a strong ABS plastic material with a rugged surface to withstand scratches and dirt. It is protected to IP40. (We can adapt the antennas  to IP65 for special applications.)  

To make the antennas more flexible they are switchable between 125kHz and 144kHz resonance frequency. They also feature a fine-tuning screw to maximise the reading performance in all environments.  

The Tag read indication LED can be very useful when the antenna is far away from the reader and you want to see when the tag read operations are successful.
